Mitzvah Day 2025: Transforming Spaces, Supporting Communities

On Friday 14th November, a team of volunteers from across TT Group took part in this year’s Mitzvah Day activity, working with our charity partner St Mungo’s, a leading organisation supporting people experiencing homelessness - to transform a multipurpose room into a dedicated art space for clients at their Assessment Hub and Staging Post services.

Our team of volunteers painted, built furniture, revamped shelving, and created artwork with clients, helping to create a warm, welcoming space that will support both wellbeing and daily activities.

St Mungo’s shared their thanks following the event:

"It really was a big space transformation and honestly you all did a fab job- whether it was taping everything up, painting, building multiple pieces of furniture, or creating lovely artwork for the room. Transforming a space like this will make a huge difference to both clients and staff. Clients will have a nicer space for their meetings; staff will have somewhere to truly relax during breaks; and overall the service gets a much-needed boost." 

They also highlighted how meaningful it was for one of their clients to join the paint-by-numbers activity an experience that resonated deeply.

Mitzvah Day is an annual global day of social action, encouraging people to support community causes through practical help.
