Assistant Asset Manager (Student Placement)

Opportunity
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an undergraduate to join the Asset team at TT Group and complete a placement year. The role will be focused on helping the team realise value across our existing property portfolios through active asset management. Full APC support is provided. The role will be based in our office in the City of London.
The role will initially include:
- Supporting Asset Managers on lease events (lease renewals/rent reviews/lease breaks) and day to day property management (lease assignments/licences for alterations/dilapidations)
- Assisting on acquisition and disposal of freehold investments and leasehold liabilities
- Researching and gathering information on the occupational and investment markets to assist decision making
- Detailed annual business plan budgeting
- Travelling to sites and attending external and internal meetings to support asset management initiatives
- Running cashflows on existing projects and future opportunities
- Day to day management of agents, solicitors, property managers and other service providers
The following experience, skills and knowledge will be required:
- Studying towards an RICS-accredited degree having already completed 2 years
- Intending to study towards APC
- A strong understanding of property fundamentals
- Commercial awareness of the property sector and wider economy
- High level of IT literacy and numeracy including an ability to understand and interpret cashflows
- Ability to prepare concise reports with a high degree of accuracy
- Ability to work under pressure and deliver outputs to deadlines
- Strong communication and presentation skills
