What you’ll be doing
The ideal candidate will be part of a small internal system development team delivering a range of developments.
Across the team, all members need to have the ability to move quickly, make mistakes, learn, grow and be part of a team providing the best solutions our business needs. A positive attitude is key as well as active collaboration across the team to solve problems as they arise, as well as trying to anticipate potential problems and building solutions to avoid these.
You will be responsible for…
Providing support in the development and maintenance of software applications under close supervision. Assisting in coding, testing, and debugging tasks with guidance, as required, from more experienced developers, and other IS Team members.
What we need from you
TT Group uses Microsoft Azure and we are looking for a candidate with advanced expertise across the skills and competencies listed below:
Technical
- Microsoft .NET development stack (inc C#, Blazor/ MVC/Razor)
- DevOps, Continuous Integration and Continuous Development
- Microsoft Azure SaaS/PaaS capabilities
- Technical excellence practice and DevOps/CALMS methodologies
- Agile delivery processes/methodologies and how to implement them in a team
- The principles of good software design including SOLID principles
- Testing methodology
- Experience with version control systems such as Git
- Database design – both relational and NoSQL, along with writing queries
Should also possess:
- Excellent verbal/written communication and interpersonal skills
- Good technical coaching and mentoring skills
- Excellent problem analysis and resolution skills
- Understanding of business processes
- Excellent attention to detail and a focus on quality
Coding Quality
- Development and maintenance of high-quality software applications according to project requirements following coding standards and best practice
- Writing clean, efficient and maintainable code across various platforms and technologies using best practices
- Lead code reviews, ensuring adherence to coding standards and best practices
- Lead the design and development of complex software systems, ensuring scalability, reliability and performance
- Troubleshoot and debug technical issues, ensuring the stability and integrity of applications

What skills you’ll bring to us
- Degree educated or equivalent in relevant IT subject
- 10+ years of development experience within cross-functional multi-disciplinary teams. The team could be any group of people with different expertise working towards a common goal, e.g. working with different disciplines within an IS team or a project working with business to develop a new system or piece of functionality or with external people e.g. contractors
- Proven experience of developing and deploying scalable, secure and highly available cloud applications
- Proven experience of embedding security, performance, availability and maintainability aspects in delivery
- Experience with IT development processes and delivery life cycles, development methodology, testing practices, release strategy and configuration management, development tools, and applications across full project life cycles.
- Experience working within an Agile environment, delivering within defined Sprints, familiarity with Agile principles and ceremonies
- Familiarity with Test Automation tools and the delivery of automated testing solutions using industry standard technologies
