Opportunity
Join the IS team as a network engineer in one the of the UK’s largest and most diverse property investment companies. Our business in headquartered in central London with small offices around the country. We were an early adopter of cloud, hyper-converged infrastructure, and SD-WAN technologies and are currently moving towards a SASE solution to further enhance mobility, productivity, and security. This exciting opportunity is open to those with 3-5 years professional networking experience.
Areas of Responsibility
- Maintain and support all network and security technologies.
- Proactive problem management to reduce incidents
- Preparing changes in accordance with ITIL principles.
- Assist colleagues in the design and implementation of new technologies.
Education
- Advanced university degree (Masters minimum) in computing, computer science, networking, or a related technical discipline.
Industry Certifications
- CCNA minimum, CCNP preferred or able to achieve it within 12 months.
- Cloud certifications would be a distinct advantage (e.g., Azure or AWS).
- Information/Cyber security (CISSP, CompTia Security+, CEP, OCSP etc.) also a distinct advantage.
Skills required
Good routing and switching
- Enterprise wireless networks
- Experience configuring and managing firewalls and security technologies
- Experience of cloud networking
- Excellent troubleshooting skills
- Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills
- Initiative with a healthy challenger mindset.
- Experience authoring technical documents and diagrams.
Highly desirable skills
- SD-WAN and overlay networks
- Internet proxy/SWG
- Load balancing
- Linux
- SIEM
