Ponta do Sol Tourist Information

Ponta do Sol lies on the southwestern coast of Madeira. The municipality is divided into three parishes, which are Canhas, Madelana do Mar and Ponta do Sol.

Must See and Do Tourist Attractions in Ponta do Sol

The high plateau of Paúl da Serra gives you a breathtaking view over the region. Ponta do Sol's Nossa Senhora da Luz church dates back to the 15th century and was rebuilt in the 18th century. Other places of interest in Ponta do Sol are the Palacete dos Zinos, Chapel of Santo Amaro, Chapel of Espírito Santo, Solar dos Esmeraldos and Chapel of Nossa Senhora do Livramento.
