      I had booked a loch side pitch, and loved it. Some of the loch side pitches are a bit removed from the main campsite and the toilets, but waking up to the view of Loch Lomond is priceless....

      Yes, it's a low equipped campsite with compost toilets ans no showers - but the view definitely makes up for it!! I online booked a lochside pitch in advance and had a great stay....

Machico Tourist Information

Machico is one of Madeira's largest cities. It is divided into five districts, namely Água de Pena, Caniçal, Machico, Porto da Cruz and Santo António da Serra.

Machico was the first place discovered on Madeira by the first settlers. The Capela dos Milagre, the oldest church on the island, can be found here. The city offers beautiful sandy beaches, pedestrian routes in the mountains and a variety of restaurants serving traditional Madeiran dishes.
