This was an ideal stay for us. There was exceptionally nice beer, lovely garden to enjoy in the sun (and covered areas) with good selection of flowers. The breakfast and room was pleasant, and the owners were lovely. Highly recommended and good price.

Stayed here with a friend for an over night visit, from arrivel the staff were fab, the room lovely and clean, with bottled water, soaps and shampoo made a lovely touch for the price paid, on the morning we were greeted with a lovely smile, ( even though we were a little worse for wear!) and our breakfast order taken promptly, beautiful freashly cooked Englishness breakfast. Can highly recommend this place for a stay. I for one will be returning.:)

Great pub for an overnight stop-over. Hubby & I stayed on 1st May. All the pub staff helpful & welcoming. Good bedroom overlooking High St, with nice refurbished en suite shower room. Some nice touches e.g. bottles of water & face flannels & even books to read! Spent evening in bar with listening to lovely live accoustics & singing at pub's "open-mike" evening - great friendly & local music talent. Enjoyed a really good freshly cooked breakfast next morning after a peaceful night's sleep. Would recommend this pub ~ just want to mention that a large free car park is behind pub (free - next to Sainsburys) so no problems unloading car from there/overnight parking; also that there are some steepish stairs to the bedrooms & that pub only does lunches. Not a problem as Bridgnorth as lots of evening eateries. Lovely rear garden/patio for summertime use!

The Bear Inn is a fantastic place to stay in, the staff were very friendly and helpful and we had great big beautiful cooked breakfasts with our stay. The room was very nice and clean, a little on the small side and we could not eat in the room, which was a bit unusual if we were hungry. Apart from that It was a very enjoyable and welcoming experience to stay at the Bear Inn, in which we are recommending it to our friends and family. Me and Sue would like to thank all staff and the owners for a very most enjoyable stay and will be staying in the near future again.

We found the Bear Inn to be a great find, all the staff were friendly and accommodating. The room was spotless and very comfortable with great bedding and thick towels. It had a lovely private garden that was very quiet and picturesque to sit in. They had an amazing band on the night we stayed and served until the early hours of the morning. The breakfast was served until 10am and was very good. Would definitely recommend.

I was looking to book a clean and comfy B&B for a few days away. The price had to be suited to my pocket. The Bear Inn, Bridgnorth was PERFECT. A twin room with comfy beds, a view of neighbouring cottages and skyscape, tea and coffee facilities and plenty of room for our bags. We were pleasantly surprised to see the room had bottled water and glasses, dressing gowns towels and flannels - unexpected but made our stay that much more delightful. Although we decided not to opt for breakfast, we wanted to get out around the town as much as poss our welcome by the staff was that, welcoming friendly and relaxed. The pub itself was a lovely traditional house with a lovely garden out the back. Thee Bear Inn is nicely situated to see the the town. Parking was easy. We are already planning to visit again. Bye the was, we did have to share a shower room, which we were aware on when booking. This too was clean and pleasant to use. Overall the feeling was of a traditional B&B where we felt at home, relaxed and able to come and go as we pleased. Thank you for a lovely stay.

I enjoyed my stay at the Bear Inn, the staff were superb and did everything they could to help with any requests and enquiries. It's an old traditional building fitting in with the surrounding cottages and style of Bridgnorth. Breakfast was excellent. Good beer and the live music was good. Excellent location for the town. Bedroom was good but took a while to get the heater working and the pillows didn't have much in them. The floor I was on had another bedroom and a shared bathroom. The bathroom was fine and luckily there were no times when I had to wait to use it.

we had a lovely stay in the bear inn. on this occasion we only used the room, but first impressions of the pub itself were good. the room was comfortable and even though not en-suite, the bathroom was within easy reach. very clean, nice to have all the little touche the only thing i would have preferred is the the price to include breakfast, as £7.50 seemed a bit steep, specially as the website advertised lower prices! we went elsewhere for breakfast so i can't comment further. when we visit bridgnorth again we will stay here again though.

Tuesday, 21 May 2013. After that day's walk of the Severn Way, l arrived at the Bear Inn at about 19.00 hours. I was welcomed, and shown to my small but clean room, including toilet and shower. As a walker that's all l needed, and a good breakfast in the morning, which l got. (40 pounds in total) All in all a good and recommendable place.

Welcoming and friendly staff; very nice room - clean, well maintained with good facilities. We booked the family room with good sized double bed and a single. Shower over bath was a little cramped due to angle of roof, but not a major problem. We had a lovely full English breakfast in the morning with the choice of hen or duck eggs! Owners were concerned that we might have been disturbed by the 'open mike' session the night before, but we were not, it ended at a reasonable time and, after all, it is a pub! Although we only stayed one night, we would recommend the Bear Inn for it's central location and all the other reasons listed above :-)

The Bear Inn is an old inn just outside the main thoroughfare, ideal for the town centre. Attractive and welcoming, and we received a warm welcome upon arrival together with friendly banter from the locals in the bar too!
The only problem was - we only could stay for one night! The room was comfortable, with a good en-suite shower unit. There was tea/coffee making equipment, a television. I was a little concerned when we arrived that there was an amount of chatter audible from the bar downstairs but when we returned from our day out we were surprised to find it was fairly quiet in our room, and little noise from below. The next morning there was a little street noise but that was to be expected. The breakfast was good, hot and quite adequate, with real coffee, not instant!
All in all a great stay and a place we will go back to again.
