I had a one night stay as i was visiting the area to attend training. My stay was FABULOUS!! Such lovely welcoming family, lovely food and a shower to die for! Rooms were warm, bed comfy and there was nothing that was not catered for. Lots of parking and a business that is a credit to the village. Thank you Mick and family x

Four rooms were booked for family, under two different names. We were all happy with the rooms, the shower was brilliant, hot and powerful, such a bonus. The most impressive view was the owner and staff. All were so welcoming and went the extra mile when one of our party had a car brakedown. They kept the kitchen open for us, how good is that. All that did make it to dinner praised the quality of the food. Breakfast was a real eye opener, how often do you get your host sit down and ask exactly what you want for a cooked breakfast. You could ask for individual items and how much you wanted. Such a change from asking for a full English and accepting what was placed in front of you. The quality was so good, no flabby toast, under cooked bacon and sausages. I cannot praise them enough and would have no hesitation in returning.

An excellent place to stay will most definitely go back there if we are in the vicinity. The proprietors and staff are very friendly and helpful. The food excellent both evening meal and breakfast. They went out of their way to accommadate our needs. The room was spacious and clean. The only slight criticism would be that it was not a level access to the room which had an en-suite wet room and so was suitable for disabled use it meant my having to negotiate the very large step up into the room.

Lovely breakfast but very early check out time especially at the weekend. Rooms a little tired looking but the beds very comfortable and the bedding clean. Room size very good but the TV screens very small for the size of room. Staff extremely friendly and helpful. Would stay again.

Stayed here for one night following a friends retirement do at the Inn. Food lovely and well priced, hot plates too! Good real ale well kept. Room was a good sized double with excellant shower such a rare things these days. No squeezing into a cubicle here with bum touching the tiles... Down side was the traffic noise early in the morning but we knew this would be the case Breakfast was lovely with choice given as to how many sausages, bacon hash browns you wanted and no hurry. Probably no free wifi didn't ask as didnt need. Would stay here again

we were gathered together for a retirement do all ages from 5 to 70 and we had a wonderful meal the staff were very attentive and helped to make this occassion very special. The food was lovely but portions a bit large for my taste but for big eaters they will not be dissapointed. My wife and I plus our niece and her husband stayed the night and found the rooms to be spacious and comfortable only minor moan is why do so many hotels these days place their televisions about 7 feet from the ground very difficult to watch in comfort. i would recommend the Oliver Twist to anyone who is after reasonably priced good pub grub with good service and reasonably priced accommodation. best wishes to you all Tony and Naomi Bennett

You will go a long way to receive such a warm welcome as we had on our arrival at this country inn. That being said, it IS a country inn, and the decor is a little tired, but we are in an economic downturn, so think some of the previous comments are a little harsh. The food is some of the best pub food we have ever come across; beautifully cooked and presented, and the welcome and filling breakfasts, including locally produced bacon and sausage far superior to that available in any motorway-side eatery. The power shower was brilliant, though the TVs in both room and bar a little small, however, the locals were friendly as we watched the England game during Euro 2012. All in all, we spent a very pleasant weekend in the area.

Just stayed at the Oliver Twist over last weekend in order to attend a family wedding nearby. Staff were very friendly and helpful as we had arrived very late on the Friday nite. They were very accommodating to both ourselves and the rest of the grooms party. Good breakfast provided for those of us who got up on time, and they did offer to leave bacon butties for the others who were having a lie in. Would definitely stay there again if in the area.

Booked rather late on the same day as stopping, room was good, bed comfortable, shower was great, food was fantastic and the owner very welcoming. A little road noise was present but that I guess is to be expected and is the price you pay for being very near the main road which gives you easy access to and from the pub

I stayed at the Oliver Twist for 3 nights in January 2012 and I was made to feel most welcome from the beginning. The accommodation was comfortable and clean, and all the staff were very attentive and friendly. The majority of their food is sourced locally, from free range eggs and locally farmed meats, all were delicious, especially the breakfasts which are any size you please as part of the B&B price.

This was our second visit to the Oliver Twist and we chose it again as its very handy for visiting family in the area. Nice clean comfortable accomodation and the breakfast is very nice. The price is the only downside as it is £20 more expensive than other local hotel B&B service and the food in the bar is also very pricey for what is essentially pub grub.

The room was nothing to shout about but the shower was nice and powerful and the bed was reasonably comfortable. Noise from boiler / pumps and traffic in rooms above the bar. There are some detached rooms which i'd have preferred to have stayed in (I would have rated the place a definite 4 or 5 stars I expect). The main plus point of the Oliver Twist has got to be the food. I don't think i've had a nicer steak pie! A couple of real ales on the bar too which is always nice to see. Very friendly hosts too. Would be happy to stay here again if i'm in the area.

Just to say we had the most fantastic stay with you. Our room was clean and spacious, you and your staff were helpful and courteous, our bed linen was changed regularly and the room always fresh. Your food was amazing and the only complaint my husband made was ‘It was that good, you have to eat it all’. So just to add agin our stay with you was fantastic and I would recommend ‘The Oliver Twist’ to anyone.

We have just returned from a very enjoyable stay at your wonderful Inn...
Rene is a lady with a disability and we found your disabled rooms to be top class, every need was catered for and and all areas easily accessible.........The room was clean (i checked) and the beds comfortable...The furniture was not i'm happy to say flat packed which made a really nice change from some places we have stayed.......Breakfast was plentiful and Delicious and all needs catered for........You were friendly and have a really good idea of what DISABLED accomodation should be, You listen when suggestions are made and are not offended by them..........We will definatley be returning to your Inn and hope this will be the first of many trips taken to Wisbech...........Thank you.

This was my first visit to the Oliver Twist and I was very impressed. I received a warm welcome. The room's decor was a little tired but the large size of the room and the fabulous bathroom more than made up for that. The restaurant sources local ingredients; the steak and ale pie was the best I have ever had. I have tried other hotel accommodation in the area and this is by far the best. I will definitely stay here again.

Very friendly staff. Food was fresh, well cooked and plentiful. Room was basic (tv, trouser press, kettle, hair dyer) and clean. Liked the tiling in the bathroom. Decent sized car park and well sign posted. Didn't see any other guests but imagine the atmosphere would be good when full. We only stayed one night to break up a long journey, but it would be equally suitable as a base for holidaying in the fens and surrounding area.

Had one night accommodation at the oliver twist bed and breakfast, what can i say well it's a place that needs to be up dated as the bedroom that we had was in desperate need of refurbishment, but the room was clean.
The breakfast was very good indeed.
As for price for the room we thought that it was a bit on the high side.
