From 19 December 2009 to 17 April 2010 you can hop on the Eurostar ski train at
St Pancras International or Ashford International and be whisked direct to the Alps
to the
ski resorts
of
Moutiers
,
Aime-la-Plagne
or
Bourg-St-Maurice
at 186mph.
Eurostar has become the number one choice for trips on the London to Paris and London
to Brussels routes. The latest available figures showed that Eurostar have a 66%
share of the London-Paris rail/air route, compared with 13% for its nearest competitor,
British Airways. On the London-Brussels route, Eurostar has increased its share
to 48%, whereas all its competitors saw their share fall. Nearly 1.7 million customers
travelled on Eurostar in the final quarter of 2003.
Eurostar is changing the way that people travel between Europe and the UK. With
the new Eurostar Channel Tunnel Rail Link that allows our trains to run at speeds
of 186mph we've reduced return journey times by up to 40mins! Eurostar plan to reduce
this journey time even further when works are completed on stage 2 of this programme.
Eurostar directly links London, Ashford, Paris, Brussels, Lille, Avignon, Calais,
Disneyland Resort Paris and the French Alps. You can also reach over 100 more destinations
across France, Belgium, the Netherlands and Germany with Eurostar Connections.
