Castel, Guernsey
Castel in Guernsey is a great destination for a family holiday and there are lots
of tourist attractions.
Castel is the largest parish in Guernsey and it hosts the North Show and Battle
of Flowers in August every year.
The parish church St Marie de Castel has a preserved medieval fresco and there is
a carved, pre-Christian neolithic menhir in the churchyard which is thought to be
a female fertility symbol.
