The capital of Guernsey is St Peter Port and it is a bustling harbour town with a good choice of bistros, restaurants and boutiques. If you like walking along stunning coastlines and spending lazy days on the beach then Guernsey would be a great location for your next holiday.

Guernsey's safe beaches and the beautiful scenery impress visitors of every age, and there is a range of family friendly hotels all over the island.
 
 
Sport on Guernsey
 
Guernsey takes part in the Commonwealth Games, which are held every 4 years, and the Island Games, held twice a year. Guernsey has its own football association, which heavily relies on The Corbet Football Field where most of the matches take place. Other popular sports on Guernsey include cricket, horse racing, motor sports, rugby and Gaelic football.
Guernsey is popular for golf holidays as there are numerous golf courses and clubs: Royal Guernsey Golf Club, La Grande Mare Golf Course, Alderney Golf Club and St Pierre Golf Course. 
 
 
Shopping on Guernsey
 
The best shopping destination on Guernsey is St Peter Port. There you can find many small shops, but also big stores, like Burton, Marks & Spencer and Warehouse. Mill Street and the Commercial Arcade are a good address when you are searching for designer fashion or artwork during your shopping trip on Guernsey.
You can shop VAT free on the Channel Islands. 
 
 
Nightlife on Guernsey
 
Guernsey's nightlife activities consist of bars, clubs and pubs. You are well advised to have a drink in The Albion House Tavern, The Red Onion, Rogues or Les Folies d'Amour, to name only a few.
 
 
Transport on Guernsey
 
Guernsey Airport (GCI) near St Peter Port gets you comfortably to and from Guernsey. The following passenger airlines operate at Guernsey Airport: Air Berlin, Aurigny Air Services, Blue Islands, Flybe and VLM for Cityjet.
There are buses running across the island to bring you to almost every destination on Guernsey. 
Ferries operate between Guernsey and Jersey, the UK and France.
