The Bear Inn is an old inn just outside the main thoroughfare, ideal for the town centre. Attractive and welcoming, and we received a warm welcome upon arrival together with friendly banter from the locals in the bar too!
The only problem was - we only could stay for one night! The room was comfortable, with a good en-suite shower unit. There was tea/coffee making equipment, a television. I was a little concerned when we arrived that there was an amount of chatter audible from the bar downstairs but when we returned from our day out we were surprised to find it was fairly quiet in our room, and little noise from below. The next morning there was a little street noise but that was to be expected. The breakfast was good, hot and quite adequate, with real coffee, not instant!
All in all a great stay and a place we will go back to again.

“We had a very pleasant stay. The Bear Inn was recommended...”
By Jane, David, Mark And Sheila, Wednesbury, England
    10 September 2011
We had a very pleasant stay. The Bear Inn was recommended to us by our
son after he was made to feel so welcome a couple of weeks. The rooms
were very comfortable, friendly atmosphere, good food – all very fresh.

The beds are brilliant! The most comfortable I have ever slept in – we wanted
to take them home with us. All very clean.

Just one thing, perhaps you could adjust windows as with all the trade
downstairs the rooms were very hot in the evening and we couldn’t open
    them very wide.

Other than that we could not have asked for more and we look forward to
    coming back soon!
