The West View Hotel is situated in the lovely country parish of St. Mary within a short distance of the lovely coastal walks of the Island's north coast. Facilities include an outdoor swimming pool heated from the beginning of May until late September, a lovely granite lounge bar with small games area, where entertainment is provided weekly in the summer months and car parking. Free wi-fi is also available.

Our non-smoking restaurant offers quality food with a number of choices at both breakfast and dinner.

Rooms

Standard hotel rooms all have en-suite shower & WC, and superior rooms in the East wing have bath shower & WC. All rooms are centrally heated with colour TV, direct dial telephone, radio, tea & coffee making & hairdryer. There is also a laundry facility for the use of guests. Single rooms and many ground floor rooms available.

West View Hotel boasts a heated outdoor Swimming Pool.

Disabled Facilities

Many ground floors available. One large room on the ground floor, which is wheelchair friendly, and has a large bathroom with good wheelchair access, but there is no hoist or grab rails.

    A modern, comfortable hotel which the AA rating does not do justice to. Benefits from a quiet rural location, but access to anywhere on the island is easy. Accommodation, service and quality of the meals was excellent. Very good value for money. We benefitted from booking early, taking advantage of the special offer available. My wife and I would certainly use this hotel again on our next visit to Jersey.

    This hotel suited our needs perfectly (two adults & two children under the age of 13). We had no cause for complaint what so ever. The room was basic, but very clean & tidy. The only thing I would change about our room was it's location within the hotel. Unfortunately the room was right against a busy rural road, which ment lying in was a bit noisey! Our only other slight inconvenience was that on several occasions we found that we had not been left enough toilet roll. Perhaps this was down to the maids misjudgment of a families requirements ? Again, this was only a slight inconvenience. The only other thing that would have been nice was a better choice at the bar! Other than that I would recommend it to anyone!!

    This year we could not decide where to stay in France so decided to go back to Jersey, best decision we made as we could not have chosen more Idyllic hotel, very welcoming staff, wonderful food and very clean. We will certainly be going back. Our daughter Molly (age 9) had the best holiday ever, she met two wonderfull little friends and I am sure this will be the most memorable holiday ever. The hotel catered for everyone from couples to families from young to old. We would definately recommend this hotel to friends and family. Tina, Phil, Molly (Cheshire)

    The hotel met our expectations with suitably equipped room and some good food. All the staff were friendly and helpful, there was a nice relaxed atmosphere in the bar/louge area on an evening. The hotel is situated in a great place as a base to explore the island. I am surprised it is only classed as a 2 star hotel it is a match for some of the higher rated hotels I have stayed at.

    food was excellent & plentiful. The dining room staff were very friendly but professional at all times & guests requests were always looked into promptly. The Proprietor & his wife were a brillaint double act for entertanment. many laughs were shared with them during mealtimes. there was enough room withih the hotel to either enjoy time with other guests or just your own family without feeling crowded. I'm sure guests go back year after year to enjoy some more hospitality from this friendly well run establishment. well done to all.

    This hotel is a gem. We absolutely love it, This was the fifth consecutive year that we have stayed. Spotlessly clean and comfortable, it is extremely well run by manager Phillip Hey, his wife and their excellent team. We cannot praise them enough. Food is traditional English, plentiful and delicious. The location is prefect for us, being in the rural Parish of St Mary close to Green Lanes and the north coast. We highly recommend it.

    Everything was good to excellent. Evening meals good, perhaps more emphassis on quality than quantity, & choices on maincourses would impove the occasion even more, but overall very good. More varied fish courses required eg had plaice twice in 4 days neither was very good. Cod in shrimp sauce nice alternative. Manager & staff excellent & very efficient. Brilliant on Car hire, which is needed to get full value around the island. Two small aspects that would help, some toiletries in bathroom would be appreciated as difficult to bring into Jersey with only hand luggage, via Airports. Towels needed replacing, well worn

    The welcome was warm and friendly and everything was done to make our stay enjoyable. The service from all staff was exceptional. Although a set menu the food was of the highest standard, and plenty of it too. The bed was to die for and I would have liked to bring it home ha-ha. If you are looking for a peaceful, homely holiday then West View is the place to stay. If you are disabled ask for room 32. Very disabled friendly. We will very definitely go back.

    We had previously stayed at West View in 2001 and were pleased to find the previous high standards had been maintained. When booked early the half-board offer is extremely good value.

    We have been visiting Jersey on annually for the past ten years and we have always stayed at the West View Hotel - never wanted to stay anywhere else. It is a very clean, efficiently -run hotel with pleasant decor throughout. The food is delicious and plentiful and served with great attention to detail by very pleasant and courteous staff staff. We shall be returning next year. Amazing value for money.

    What a pleasure it was to re-visit West View after 14 years. We missed our ferry and rang ahead. Phil (The Manager) very kindly laid on a 3 course meal and kept a member of staff back to serve us. This was much appreciated once we arrived tired and hungry. Served by very friendly and courteous young woman...thank you Christina. There have been a few changes to the hotel but it was good to see it was still very popular....a full dining room at breakfast. I can recommend "Phil's grill" the full english which was just enough....plenty of choice at both breakfast and evening meal. My father had booked us an upstairs room which was a little struggle as I have a walking difficulty but Phil went over and above the call of duty...By Tuesday we were moved into a downstairs room. Much easier. We would definately recommend the hotel as a great place to stay. It is in the quiet parish of St Mary in the North of the Island and only 20 minutes drive from St Helier. Many thanks to Phil and all the staff for helping us have a great time. We will be back for sure.

    As answered below we had a fantastic stay, with overall service I have to say one of the best hotels we have ever stayed in and we stay in a lot, mainly through business. My one small quibble is at the end of the stay we realised we had been overcharged for drinks which were bought to the table at the evening meal time. I would have preferred to pay for drinks when we had them then this wouldnt have occurred. Having said that it wasnt a lot of money and the staff were incredible and we shall definitely be booking again.
