Once the centre of boat building and oyster fishing, Gorey harbour is a safe mooring for pleasure boats and a variety of watersports take place on Grouville bay with its safe bathing. Explore the promenade with beautiful gardens and ideal resting places to take in the glorious views and stunning sunsets.

You will find the Royal Jersey Golf Club, 18 hole links course only located 2km away and golf can be arranged prior to arrival.The Dolphin Hotel & Restaurant, Jersey is 4 kilometres away from St Helier a short drive, 15 minutes, with good public transport connections.

All our bedrooms are en-suite and equipped with modern day amenities; tea and coffee making facilities, television, radio, trouser press, hair dryer, direct dial telephone and modem points.

We have several premier rooms that have panoramic views across the harbour and to the south east bay of Grouville were you will find sandy bays leading onto the oyster beds.

Restaurant

Our restaurant is open for lunch and dinner every day, the hotel has a high reputation for its cuisine which has a continental style with an emphasis on local produce with an array of seafood alongside specialties of cooking on hot rocks and we cater for vegetarians.The cocktail bar is adjacent to the restaurant is the perfect venue for pre dinner drinks or a quite evening relaxation.Mediterranean Bar & GrillSitting in the centre of Gorey Pier the Mediterranean Bar is friendly and informal place with visitors and locals alike, the bar has a good selection of beers wines and sprits including the award wining local ale Mary Ann. Leading to an alfresco terrace a good place to soak up the atmosphere of the peaceful harbour.Our grill area is lively and busy with the menu made up of a combination of traditional and modern dishes.

We very much enjoyed our stay at the Dolphin Hotel, the staff were very friendly & helpful, the hotel is conveniently located for the very good Jersey bus service, the food in the restaurant was excellent, the room was comfortable and kept clean by the excellent hotel services staff. One slight disappointment was the lack of variety of breakfast cereals - only cornflakes or rice crispies were available. That having been said, we would stay there again and recommend the Hotel to our friends

Stayed at the Dolphin begining of September for a weekend, room was lovely, good size, plenty wardrobe and cupboard space, bathroom had a shower, toilet and sink, looked like it had been recently put in and the best bit we had a lovely view out to the harbour. Beakfast in the morning was good with a variety of food to choose from including a cooked breakfast. The bar was cosy, we sat outside on the benches with a drink because the weather was lovely. Staff were all very nice and friendly. I would go back again if I get the chance.

When we visit again we would ask if a room with a bath [instead of a shower] would be available.
The room we had was very nice and cosy but the stairs were a little steep for us and left us out of breath when reaching the room.
