The accommodation was very good - clean room, good facilities although I did have a slight water shortage from the shower the next morning whilst washing hair...easily overcome as the room had a bath with plenty of running water! I had an evening meal and breakfast and both were very good.

    “Nice hotel but uninterested staff”
By Miss Michelle S, Wirral, UK

This is a lovely quaint little place in the middle of a quiet but lovely village. I arrived on a Sunday evening around 10.15 p.m., the hotel was closed up when I got there. Check in staff were friendly but seemed to just want me to get to my room and disappear, no enquiry was made as to was my trip there ok etc and other than telling me where my room was and what time breakfast was that was it. I had to ask how I got outside during closing hours. My room was huge and really lovely (although a little spooky, first night I slept with the lights on) it had a great four poster bed, roll top bath, hige TV, dressing area etc. NO shower but for £65.00 per night it far exceeded my expectations. One thing to note is that there are not many UK plug sockets in the room so difficult in the age of lap tops, mobile phones, ipods, hair dryers etc..... I only found two. Breakfast was a little strange as was dinner, the staff did not really talk to you other than taking your order. You had to ask where you could eat, if you could see menus, if you could order and generally what the score was. Now i'm not thick and have stayed in many hotels around the world, but guys - a little direction would not go amiss and it would be nice for someone to ask how my day has been etc...... just a little friendly chit chat goes a long way especially when you are a lone traveller. I doubt many of you will be travelling without transport to this area but if you are, be sure to call ahead and book any taxi arrangements you may need as the village has few taxis and most are booked out for school runs etc. Get the number for Fram Taxis, Jerry is the taxi man and he is an absolute delight and I have to say is the friendliest man I have ever come across. All in all a good little hotel, great accommodation and a lovely setting but the staff need to be allot friendlier and more helpful and a 100 times chattier. Foodwise, the breakfast is huge and lovely, dinner was only ok though.

Your staff are outstanding - cheerful, polite and helpful. The hotel is rather overpriced for what it is. It is shabby at the edges and the breakfast, although served by a lovely friendly young lady, disappointing. At this price we expect something more than bog standard concentrated fruit juice. The rooms are fine, but nothing to write home about (ours was rather gloomy; our friends' light and airy) and there was only one bath towel for the two of us in the bathroom and no face cloths. We came away feeling positive, thanks mostly to your lovely staff.

A nice pub, rooms were ok but about what I expected for the price. The staff on the other hand were exceptional.
