  Really enjoyable stay. Warm cosy room, plenty of hot water, much better towels than most hotels and parking just outside. Good to be able to have breakfast there. We stayed to two nights to visit my mother, will be back!

  Very comfortable stay - convenient for my requirements - quiet and peaceful room with very comfortable bed - warm with all the basic facilties required for short stay - good location and ample parking Breakfast is scheduled over a period of time and has reasonable choice to satisfy most needs The male member of staff on duty on the morning I departed was especaiily pleasant and helpful This is not the first time I have stayed at this hotel and it wil not be the last.   This was our fourth visit and as always everything was very good. The only hiccup was that our room was not attended to on Christmas Day and this appeared to be a genuine mistake. When mentioned at Reception the next morning we were immediately provided with clean towels. The Staff as always were very pleasant and nothing was too much to ask. Location was perfect, being directly across from the Airport and close to where we were visiting in Castletown.

  As the family grew they had no room at the inn. Thus, our stay at the Sefton Express. Would certainly stay again, and recommend for any visitors, or locals, alike. The room was more than adequate and the reception staff very friendly. Although no cooked fry up for breakfast there was plenty of bread/toast, cheese, ham, fruit, cereal etc: Just help yourself to as much as you wish. Well situated across from the airport with ample (free) parking.

  Over for family reunion. Not ideally based for access to the main parts of the island. We were meeting up in Douglas. Such said, we hired a car at very reasonable rates and drove into/out of Douglas. The room was small but the cleanliness, quality of bed and bathroom were excellent for our short stay. Service was also excellent, with the guy on reception when we arrived most welcoming. Breakfast following day [included in the cost of the room] was a basic continental one, but again very clean and relaxed. Overall the hotel did what it said it would - an excellent short stay with very comfortable nights sleep.

  Hotel is very convenient for the airport, easy walking distance. It is a bit isolated but the bus service is good with Castletown and the steam train station a short bus ride away, staff were friendly and helpful, room was on the small side but had everything we needed. Bed was large and a little on the hard side for my liking. Hot water was luke warm at 06:00.

  WE ARRIVED AT THE HOTEL FOR OUR OVERNIGHT STAY 4th OCTOBER, THEY HAD THE WRONG PAPERWORK STATING OUR STAY WAS FOR 5th OCTOBER, THIS WAS DUE TO AN INPUT ERROR BY HOTEL STAFF, EVENTUALLY THE RIGHT BOOKING WAS FOUND BUT WE COULD NOT HAVE THE TYPE OF ROOM WE HAD BOOKED, THIS WAS SLIGHTLY ANNOYING AS THE ROOM HAD BEEN BOOKED FOR THREE MONTHS, APART FROM THIS THE HOTEL WAS CLEAN COMFORTABLE AND CONVENIENT AND THE STAFF WERE COURTEOUS.

  So for my first ever visit to the island I chose to saty at the Sefton Express and to be honest was very surprised just how nice it would be and also all the staff very friendly, breakfast is continental which is perfectly good was enough choice of things to have. Location just over the road from the Airport is great if you have your transport but could be difficult if you don't. rooms very comfortable and bathrooms good and appeared new, only down fall of hotel was fact that chamber maids didn't appear to do anything in rooms ie glass beaker in bathroom not washed out bed not maid. Having travelled many times to places around the world found myself and my mother seperate room very surprised how how lazy really chamber maids seemed compared to other hotels we have stayed at.none the less would definately stay here again.

  We spent a very enjoyable week at this Hotel which was ideal for a weeks touring in the IOM. The room was very comfortable and clean, and the staff very friendly and helpfull.   The hotel is easy to reach by a short walk, so you don´t need a bus or a taxi. It was quiet enough for good sleeping and one of our rooms had plenty of space (No. six). The service was very friendly a the room charge was average. So we got good reasons to come back.

  Room & ensuite clean, modern and functional. Very big bed for the size of the room (wo singles bolted together). Not actually a problem but room would look more spacious with a regular sized double bed. Disappointed that the nice flat screen television only had the 5 channels plus news channel - surely wouldn't cost too much to put in freeview or similar, which would help pass the time in the evenings if you're travelling alone or without a car as, although very convenient for the airport and (infrequent) bus service, the hotel is very isolated, especially from other forms of entertainment. The staff I met were friendly, efficient and helpful apart from, I have to say, the girl on the desk when I was checking out on the Saturday morning. She barely made eye contact, certainly wasn't friendly when I had a small question about payment and couldn't manage a smile/thank you/goodbye as I trundled my suitcase off into the rain!

  I am a frequent visitor to the Isle of Man and I have stayed at this hotel the last 7 times I have been there. For me it ticks all the boxes. Plenty of parking (which in some places on the island can be a nightmare), very very good value for money, a lovely continental breakfast of which you can have as much or as little as you wish, If you wish to have a cooked breakfast this is probably not the place for you but I cannot fault it. The rooms are very comfortable (a lovely comfortable bed and a very nice shower) tea and coffee making facilities in the room and if you run out you can just get more from reception. The staff are very helpful and friendly and I am looking forward to staying there again next year.

  My experience at the Sefton Express was very good. The room was very comfortable, although a bit small. Having the location adjacent to the airport made using public transit around the island very convenient. There was a great selection of informative brochures to help take in all the Isle has to offer. The weekend continental breakfast was serviceable, and the option of having an evening meal in was appealing. Overall, the Sefton Express presents a great value option to enjoy the Isle of Man.

  We were very pleased with our room - quiet, clean and fresh with excellent plump pillows, and comfortable quilt, bathroom spotless, and, it was a good base to come and go from on days out. The staff were all so helpful and went the second mile to make our stay suitable for our needs, eg having to leave earlier than normal to return a hire car but arranging for an early breakfast for us, finding local information through Google, and just being friendly. We would recommend the Sefton Express and may well return. The breakfasts were fresh and top quality with very good variety, Liked the selection of books available to take to read during one's stay. We recognised that the evening meal had to be microwave type meals, but convenient if one came back wet and foot weary. The toilet flush mechanism in the room was very hard to operate, but this was reported at the time.

  I got what I expected - the location is good for the airport and bus links and is within walking distance of Castletown. The rooms are clean, warm and functional. The staff are pleasant, courteous and helpful. The breakfast was what I expected of "continental" - cereals, croissants and bread, fruit and fruit salad, yogurts, cold meat and cheese, fruit juice and hot drinks. There is a range of basic meals on offer from noon until mid-evening which the staff can produce for you and they are happy to order in take-aways for you. There is also a snack machine and a limited bar in reception. I had a double room for single occupancy and that was fine, but I would suspect a single room might have been too small for me. All in all, good value - no character, no frills, but as described.

The only critisism was on the day of departure, 7.20am flight,and even though there was someone in attendance in reception it would have been nice if more than just cereal was available.   Good welcome on reception and a pleasant enough room but overall badly let down by the significant line of BLACK MOULD along the sealant around the top of the shower tray, which has certainly not appeared overnight! I checked out at 5.45am so I left a note at reception querying why the cleaner had not reported it but I suppose equally it could be a mangement failure to take action. I do hope that Room 2 has had some urgent maintenance attention since I left.....it is a simple, lost cost job. What a pity that this lack of attention gives such a bad impression in what is a very new building.

  A well kept and comfortable property with friendly and helpful staff. A nice continental style self-service breakfast is available from 0700 (0730 Sundays) until 1000, comprising cereals, croissants, ham, cheese, fruit, yoghurts etc, as well as a selection of hot and cold drinks ,A good base for getting around the Island without a car; the airport is less than 5 minutes walk way, with very regular buses from there to Douglas, Castletown and Port Erin and a less frequent service over the hills to Peel. Additionally, Ronaldsway Halt on the steam railway is also only 5 minutes walk away. Walking into Ballasalla or Castletown for pubs/restaurants or simply visiting is quick and easy, been only 10 to 15 minutes stroll.

  We stayed overnight at the Sefton Express as we had an early morning flight, hotel was comfortable and the staff very friendly and helpful. I was able to leave my car there during my few days away at no extra charge.

  You will have seen me review this property many times before. If you read my reviews you will know why I stayed at the Sefton Express. Your missing out if you stay anywhere else trust me!!! The service is always excellent. the rooms clean and very comfortable and the staff make it feel like home. Don't be put off by the airport location, you don't know it's there (noise). The buses are there to take you to some great spots like Castletown, The Sound, Port Erin and Port St Mary. On site catering is a bit limited but try the Whitestone Inn in Ballasalla or some excellent restaurants in Castletown (just a short bus ride away). Now if your thinking of going to the Isle of Man for goodness sake stay at the Sefton!!!!

  ideally situated for an early morning start form Ronaldsway. The reception was excellent, and appreciated the ceriels etc left out for our early breakfast. My only sugestion is that there was no (alarm) clock in the room or indication if the phone may be used as such. We had arrived quite late, and by the time I realised this I am sure your reception would have closed. Luckily my watch had an alarm function, but as I had never used it before it was a case of hope for the best.

I was surprised to see that they charge for wifi, really I expect this to be free as it is in most hotels, pubs, coffee shops etc. The only other negative is the lack of TV channels, we obviously weren't here to watch TV but I'm sure most people staying are doing so just for a stop over and freeview or sky would be nice. Breakfast was ok.

  Couldn't fault it. (other than no outside smoking area!) The room was clean, comfortable and had the biggest bed, I've slept in! I booked online, and inadvertantly booked a twin room, I was travelling alone and the hotel (Ben?) noticed this and e-mailed asking me, if I wanted to change to a double. I also e-mailed asking about parking and David responded very quickly to my question. I can honestly say the service was top class, just like the 'old days' when people actually care about their job, and want to provide excellent service.

  Booked this to save anyone getting up at 5.30am to drive us to airport. Welcome was excellent and arrangements for son to collect car worked perfectly. Room small but bed very large could perhaps have been a 5 foot bed instead of at least 6 foot leaving more room round sides. Good selection of shampoo etc which we did not expect. Our only downside that having to be at airport for 6.15am we didn't manage breakfast but did take a piece of fruit with us. Maybe look at a 'room only' price without breakfast. Having said that we have booked again for end of January.

  I had to stay overnight as the last flight back to the London City airport was too early for me. This airport hotel is so close, just 2-3 minutes walk, and so I got a good night's sleep even though I was getting the 7.20am flight to London City. For longer stays on Isle of Man, there are probably other hotels I would have preferred, but as an airport hotel - it was great in comfort and convenience.

  I would not stay anywhere else on the island. The rooms are clean, very comfortable and the staff so friendly it's like staying with friends. The location is perfect with the airport across the road (you would not know it was there though as there is very little noise). Public transport is at the airport (buses). The old capital of Mann Castletown is a short walk away along with walks along the coast if that's what you want. Excellent restaurants are nearby in Castletown and Ballasalla as onsite the dining is limited. Don't stay anywhere else!!!

  As a regular visitor to the Isle of Man for holidays, I have mainly used self catering stays for 1 or 2 weeks, but on this occasion my sister & I flew over for a weekend and decided to use public transport to get about the island and thus decided that Sefton Express would be very handy. How right we were! The location meant that the bus stop @ the airport was like our personal stop- only a few minutes walk from the hotel.

  Location perfect. Airport across the road along with a bus stop. Walking distance to Castletown the old capital and the Langness Penninsula for great walks.   I went to Isle of Man for a weekend in Sep'11. I booked this hotel as it was very cheap I hadn't checked location of the hotel etc when I booked the ticket.
  I went to Isle of Man by flight and this hotel is very close to the Airport, in fact this is the closest hotel to the airport about 500 yards. So if you haven't got car booked in Isle of man for your duration of stay this is the best choice for you. They serve okay breakfast as well in the morning.
  The only drawback I think would be that you can't see the sea from the hotel at all although there are some nice landscapes around the place. And if you are travelling by ship it would be better to book the hotel in Douglas as all the ferries go to Douglas which is about 10 Miles from Ronaldsway Airport, Isle of Man.
