Called The Scotsman hotel because it once housed the Victorian offices of The Scotsman newspaper, the hotel was restored and converted in 2001. Original period features blend with contemporary art and furniture in the oak panelled lobby. North Bridge Brasserie's marble pillars and wood panelling are complemented by a dramatic steel floor and staircase. It offers street side views and an eclectic menu. The drawing room is ideal for a quiet nightcap. There are 11 meeting rooms for up to 100 people, business services and wireless Internet access throughout (surcharge).
