The Scarisbrick Hotel is a 19th century coaching inn set in a central location, one mile from the promenade and 12 miles from the motorway. The 90 individually decorated guestrooms retain a traditional Victorian feel, and include cable television, clock radios, coffee/tea makers, fax machines, telephones, trouser presses and bathrooms with complimentary toiletries. Health conscious guests can start the day with a dip in the indoor pool or a workout on cardio vascular and resistance machines in the gym. The coffee shop offers cappuccinos, morning papers and afternoon tea, while the hotel's four bars serve aperitifs and nightcaps in the evening, alongside light meals. The Knightsbridge restaurant offers a choice of table d'hote menus, complemented by fine wines, served in traditional surroundings. Guests can also enjoy 'dine and dance' evenings every Saturday. Alternatively, the Cloisters restaurant, housed in what used to be the Hotel's stables and incorporating carefully retrieved and restored stained glass and period artefacts, offers traditional English fare, prepared using local products and focusing on char grilled food. The hotel's two conference suites are able to accommodate meetings of up to 180 people. Practical amenities include room service, express check in/out and complimentary parking facilities. One mile from the hotel, guests can take a trip to the Martin Mere wildlife sanctuary, or visit Floral Hall and the Arts Centre. The famous cities of Liverpool and Manchester are 15 and 28 miles away respectively. Manchester International Airport is 28 miles away, with an approximate driving time of 50 minutes.
