The Parsonage Country House Hotel is set in 6½ acres of landscaped gardens, yet only minutes from York City Centre.Built in the early 1840's the building maintains many of its original features and has a rich history.The hotel boasts an Award winning Restaurant, a beautiful Conservatory and elegant lounges.

Choose from 50 individually designed bedrooms available in the Main House, Coachhouse, Cottage or The Lodge. All rooms are en-suite and 4 Poster Beds, superiors, Non smoking and Ground Floor rooms are available on request.

Weddings

The hotel is set in 6 acres of beautiful formal gardens and woodland and is the ideal setting for your Wonderful Wedding. Our Crystal Suite is tastefully decorated and has magnificent views over the gardens and leads into our stunning Conservatory, which is a wonderful place for your guests to relax in its tranquil atmosphere any time during day or evening.We also hold a license to hold civil ceremonies, which can accommodate up to 100 guests.

The menu choices offered within the pack are only suggestions and we are always happy to discuss any further menus you may require or cater for your favourite dish. Our reputation for excellent food and service is well known throughout the area and we are confident we can make your special day one to remember.

    On our arrival the staff were friendly, helpful and informative. The room was spacious and clean with plenty of hanging space for clothes. The food at meal times was well cooked and beautifully presented. We tried both menus and found both excellent value. The Venison was exceptional. The bar was well stocked and service good. The service in the restaurant was second to none and the young waitress was extremely professional and had a friendly manner. All in all our stay was very good and we would stay again if we visited York again. The only down side was that the tap for the show was very stiff and as I have arthritis in my hands I had difficulty in turning it on and off. Well done!

    Chose the hotel for location. Four cousins plus husband/wives. Could not fault the staff. Everything with a smile. Nothing too much trouble. Will be staying again in the future. House keeping obviously very important to management as everywhere was spotless. (Unlike the 5 star we stayed in recently in Streatley.)
