Throughout this time, the family's mission has been consistently, to upgrade and improve the hotel to the highly civilised, "boutique" style hotel it is today - one of the capital's best Guernsey hotels with a fine reputation throughout the Channel Islands.
Just a ten minute stroll through colourful Candie Gardens to the shopping and financial centres of St Peter Port, the hotel is an ideal base for short breaks, walking holidays or business visits in Guernsey. The hotel has been awarded a three star grading by the Guernsey Tourist Department and also has received a silver award for the quality of its hospitality and service. At The Clubhouse we have strived to provide our guests with all the comforts of home...high quality pillows and sheets on restful beds with good mattresses, sumptuous surroundings, "wifi", radio alarm, satellite tv, dvd - there is a dvd library in reception, and beverage making facilities with a wide choice of tea and coffee flavours and tasty biscuits, trouser press and hair dryer. The bathrooms are kept beautifully clean and all feature a good sized baths and "proper" showers with large, high quality bath towels.
Most bedrooms have fine views overlooking the picturesque gardens or grounds of the hotel and distant views across Guernsey to the north.
Single Bedrooms
The Single Bedrooms all have a double bed for extra comfort, high quality pillows and sheets, "wifi", satellite tv, dvd, beverage making facilities with a choice of teas, coffees and biscuits. Complimentary apples and water are also provided.
Double and Twin Bedrooms
The Double and Twin Bedrooms are available in the main building of the hotel or in the wing which overlooks the picturesque garden, swimming pool and grounds of the hotel. All have high quality pillows and sheets, "wifi", satellite tv, dvd, beverage making facilities with a choice of teas, coffees and tasty biscuits. Complimentary fruit and bottled water are also available.
Suites
The Junior Suites There are three delightful, west facing suites available in the hotel, overlooking the lovely gardens of the hotel. Recently developed, they feature luxurious sleeping accommodation, a small lounge area with high quality furnishings, a small dining facility and a modern kitchenette amenity in which guests may prepare their own meals, should they prefer to enjoy " a night in", without the formality of dining in the hotel restaurant or ordering room service. The modern bathrooms are delightfully appointed and feature extra large showers.
The Carlton Suite
The Carlton Suite is located on the first floor of the hotel and overlooks the lovely gardens and swimming pool of the hotel. It also enjoys views right across Guernsey to the north and west of the island. The accommodation comprises a beautifully appointed bedroom with high quality pillows and sheets on a bespoke bed. The bathroom is modern, extremely clean and includes a bath with a large shower. In addition, there is a large lounge/diner with sumptuous furnishings, "wifi", television, dvd and beverage making facilities.
There is also a beautifully appointed kitchen and breakfast bar. The Carlton Suite features a number of beautiful pictures and highly colourful photographs of our spectacular island to compliment the lovely views from the windows.
SELF CATERING APARTMENTS
The variety and flexibility of accommodation available at The Clubhouse is amply displayed by our range of self catering accommodation. All the Self Catering Accommodation has achieved a four star grading and silver award for hospitality and service from the Guernsey Tourist Department Guernsey Self Catering Accommodation is available throughout the island and at The Clubhouse, you will find a choice between our seven self catering cottages located around the hotel gardens and, adjacent to the hotel, The Margaret House Apartments of which there are seven, overlooking the gardens and facing to the west. Both self catering choices have two bedrooms (one double, one twin), a bathroom, a large lounge/diner and a well equipped kitchen. All have terraces or balconies overlooking the gardens of the hotel.
SELF CATERING COTTAGES
The Clubhouse Cottages are located in the picturesque gardens of the hotel. There are five overlooking the swimming pool and two set slightly apart from the pool area overlooking the gardens of the hotel. Modern and beautifully appointed, the cottages comprise one double bedroom, a twin bedroom, well equipped bathroom with bath/shower , a large lounge diner and modern kitchen.
Every kitchen is equipped with a dishwasher, oven, microwave and fridge. Each cottage has its own terrace and exterior picnic table, television, dvd and accessories. The fact that many of our self catering clients have been returning year after year ever since the cottages were first constructed some 17 years ago stands testament to the quality and comfort of the cottages.
Kashmara Restaurant
After the stress of a day at the office, the exertions of the beach or a walk on the glorious cliffs and leafy lanes of Guernsey, an oasis in which to relax, "chill" and be nourished is everyman's dream and we promise not to disappoint you when you drop into Kashmara! The delights of Morocco and Northern Africa have been brought to Guernsey with the introduction of "Kashmara", the Chambers family's latest creation.
Sumptuous furnishings and lighting to suit, a truly "cosmopolitan" choice of cocktails, expertly prepared by our renowned, friendly and efficient staff will fulfil your needs when it comes to relaxation and refreshment. Our menu falls into two distinctive categories to meet the demands of our international clientele.
The "brasserie" menu features a delicious range of dishes featuring Guernsey's world famous fresh seafood and only the highest quality meat and produce, sourced by our kitchen to met the demands of the international traveller. There is also a range of snacks and light meals for those guests in a hurry or not requiring a full menu each evening.
Our second menu is a grazing menu especially designed to reflect the theme of our bar and restaurant - "Tapas and Meze" - dishes from around the world are offered up to you in a never ending variety of tasty, spicy dishes to entice you and to share with your friends while you relax, socialise and "chill"! Leisure Although described as a small hotel, The Clubhouse meets the needs of the modern, international guest or holiday maker by providing a range of high quality leisure facilities. Fishing and boating trips, horse riding, golf, wind surfing, cycle and car hire or any other sporting or leisure activities can be arranged for you with pleasure.
Children's Play Area
A small children's play area is located in the garden of the hotel and includes swings, a climbing frame, a seesaw and slide. Guernsey's Leisure Centre - Beau Sejour is located just a five minute stroll from The Clubhouse and has a myriad of facilities including indoor swimming pools, large gymnasium and health suite. Theatre and Musical Evenings can be enjoyed year round in Guernsey at Beau Sejour, Candie Gardens Museum and St James featuring casts from the local community and the international world of music and culture.
