The New Bath Hotel has been reviving tired spirits since the year in which Bonnie Prince Charlie led his Jacobites as far as nearby Derby. Since the 18th Century the hotel has been repeatedly extended and now has a fine banqueting hall that opens on to our magnificent gardens. We also have an 18th Century natural spa, fed by natural mineral springs from the ground, which is incorporated in the hotel as a unique plunge pool.
The hotel has 55 comfortable bedrooms, including four posters and canopied half tester rooms, whilst our garden wing extension offers rooms with balconies overlooking the outdoor pool and gardens.
When dining at the hotel you can enjoy the relaxed atmosphere that both our restaurant and bar provide. From a relaxing drink or snack, to a romantic dinner for two, our Lamp and Steam Restaurant serves a fantastic variety of mouth-watering contemporary British fayre.
With its many original features, in addition to the friendly and professional service the hotel provides as standard, you can be sure of an enjoyable leisure and business break at the New Bath Hotel.
All guests resident in the hotel have complementary use of all leisure facilities, which include an Olympic sized outdoor swimming pool from May - October, thermal fed indoor plunge pool, sauna, outdoor tennis court and for an additional cost a sun shower.
Room Information:
The New Bath Hotel boasts 55 en-suite bedrooms, and are all fitted to a high standard with colour TV, direct dial telephone, iron & ironing board, trouser press, hairdryer and tea/coffee making facilities.
We have seven superior rooms that consist of two four-poster rooms and five half tester rooms. Each room is spacious and individually styled. Many of our rooms have excellent views overlooking the outdoor swimming pool and Derwent Gorge.
Conference Facilities:
The hotel has five conference suites each with different capacities and qualities, ranging from five up to 150. All the rooms have natural daylight and are easily accessible from reception. You and your guests will be greeted on arrival and directed to your reserved conference room.
We offer a range of equipment including Television & Video (VHS), overhead projector & screen, flipchart and slide projector. Should you require further equipment, this can be provided at an additional charge.
Catering can be arranged to suit your needs whether you require a sandwich buffet lunch or a two-course hot and cold buffet lunch in our restaurant. Private dining can be arranged for your evening meal or you may enjoy our Lamp & Seam Restaurant.
Corporate activities can also be arranged via the hotel with an outdoor pursuit company set in our own grounds.
Restaurant/Dining:
We are renowned for our excellent cuisine and wide variety of menus from the traditional Table D'Hote menu to our a-la-Carte menu available in our Lamp and Seam Restaurant. Our exquisite dishes are complemented by an extensive wine list. The Lamp and Seam Restaurant is open daily from 7.00pm to 9.30pm and for Sunday Lunches from 12noon to 2.30pm.
Our Bar menu is available for anyone wishing to dine between lunchtime and 9.30pm in the Spinners Bar, or try our new Swallow Pizza Menu which can be served in the Spinners Bar or delivered to your room between 10am and 2pm then 5.30pm and 9.30pm.
At the New Bath Hotel the emphasis is on quality of service, add to this the grandeur of our private suites, the excellent reputation of the food and wine with beautiful surroundings and you will find that we offer the ideal venue for your private dinner or family celebration. Our elegant Arkwright Suite comfortably accommodates up to 150 guests, for more intimate get togethers you will find the stylish, candlelit, oval tables of our Derwent and Peak Suites are perfectly suited for parties of fewer than 30 guests.

All our suites are licensed for Civil Ceremonies and can hold up to 140 guests in our Arkwright Suite.
