The Evesham Hotel is a 3 star hotel in the market garden town of Evesham, Worcestershire. The perfect base for exploring the picturesque Cotswolds and Malverns, Evesham Hotel offers 40 spotless and well equipped bedrooms and is surrounded by a tranquil 2 & 1/2 acre garden. Although the Evesham Hotel has all modern comforts including free Wi-Fi internet and an indoor swimming pool, the building dates to 1540 and has a Georgian appearance due to a major modernisation in 1810.

The Evesham Hotel has a very relaxed and informal atmosphere and is not somewhere you will forget in a hurry - reflected in the many awards it has received in recent years; including being listed in the Daily Telegraph as one of the 10 best hotels in the British Isles and in the Independent & Observer as one of the top 50 in Britain.

The Evesham Hotel is as relaxing and memorable for the leisurely tourist as it is for the hard-working executive, and we have facilities to cater for all - super food, 600 bottle wine list, the widest range of alcoholic drinks in UK, indoor swimming pool and a small conference room.

Bedrooms

All of our bedrooms are spotlessly clean and feature either a bath, shower or both, colour television with freeview channels; central heating with thermostat; kettle with tea (India/China) & coffee, hot chocolate & biscuits; portable transistor radio, travel alarm clock; hair drier; iron & ironing board; games (eg. Scrabble), direct-dial phones and all bedrooms also have a silent fridge with fresh milk.

All rooms also offer free Wi-Fi Internet access (not for heavy usage please!) and are non-smoking.

There is a shoe cleaning machine near Reception and please ask there is you would like any services such as laundry, taxi, writing paper etc.

Food & Drink

The hallmark of a good restaurant is variety and you should not be limited to 4 or 5 choices. At the Evesham Hotel you will find plenty of choice including vegetarian options and a junior à la carte menu which is available at lunch, dinner or high tea - well-behaved children are always as welcome as well-behaved adults in the dining room!

At breakfast (served 7.30am - 9.30am on weekdays and 8.00am - 10.00am on weekends), we offer the full choice of a traditional English breakfast down to black pudding and kippers.

At lunchtime we offer exactly the choices as in the evening, 7 days a week, but in addition we offer our superb "Buffet Lunch", an array of 40+ different dishes which is an outstanding value for money (£9.75).

Everything is fresh and prepared on the premises, and dinner (7.00pm - 9.30pm) see's the addition of an à la carte menu which changes every week, complimented by a huge collection of wines.

Our uniquely presented photographic wine list offers wine from such diverse areas as Georgia, Sweden, Utah, Algeria as well as the more normal Holland, India, Ireland, South Africa, New Zealand and Italy. We are unique in not selling the usual French & German wines, and for something even more different we sell over 150 different grape varietals so that if you are fed up with Cabernet, Shiraz, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, you could try Tinta Barroca, Alicante Bouschet, Coda di Volpe or Sauvignon Gris etc.

Conference Rooms

For something a bit different from your usual business hotel, the Evesham Hotel offers a relaxing and convenient experience compared with the chain hotels, yet offers all the usual facilities needed for business. We have recently installed free Wi-Fi internet access throughout all rooms and also offer the normal video facilities. Our meeting room is ideal for all kinds of intimate meetings and conferences in Evesham - we do not cater for parties over 10/12 as it disrupts the more individual relaxed atmosphere we try to create.

Evesham Hotel is rated 4.67 out of 5 stars based on 15 guest reviews.

The Evesham Hotel is truly a one off and very unique! The hotel is very well equiped and all the staff were very friendly and helpful. I think that it would be a really nice location for a weekend away or a short break (I was there on business so didn't get to appreciate it fully).

Nothing is too much trouble here. Happy smiling and helpful staff. Everything from proper coffee and fresh milk in your room to a wonderful breakfast served on a hot plate (other places should take note) goes to show that every detail has been thought of. This is the place that invented a 'Can do' attitude towards its guests - the big chains could learn a lot from the Evesham. Faultless, as ever.

Friendly, if slightly eccentric hotel, with many teddy bears (even as a key fob!). Nice food, friendly staff. Would stay again

Arrived early - before midday - and was allowed access to room. Rooms seemed to be themed, we were given the jockey's room adorned with lots of artifacts relating to horse racing - jockeys silks, racing saddle, programmes etc. There were also some board games in the room. Room was comfortable and warm. Hotel seemed to be very child friendly with pool, all sorts of games and large selection of reading material Good breakfast provided with excellent range of cereals and wide choice for the cooked english. They made their own jams and marmalades

I am a very well travelled person who has stayed in hotels worldwide and I was very impressed with the room facilities in this hotel. The fridge in the room is a godsend with a toddler who needs milk before bed and wakes up at 6am. The rooms were very spacious, so my daughter had room to play. Having books, teddies, bath toys, her own towels, etc was fantastic. I was impressed to see the things provided for babies, baby bath, even some nappies, talc, cotton wool, changing mat etc. Our daughter loved all the toys downstairs. The pool was fantastic and all the pool toys. A fantastic place to stay with children. Breakfast was excellent too. Only one minor criticism which was there are a few signs around the hotel that have tone e.g. in our room, photos of how a family had left the room and the sign said please don't emulate them. I can understand it with the effort this hotel puts in to looking after guests, but it didn't feel very welcoming.

Stayed at The Evesham a few times on business but this was the first leisure visit.
The place has a fantastic relaxed atmosphere and all the staff give the the overwhelming impression that nothing is too much trouble.
Room was spacious and spotlessly clean as was the bathroom.
Food to an exceptional standard with a good choice and well presented.
The plaudits received by The Evesham are richly deserved by all of the staff.

    Overall - A first-rate experience!
Really liked: the overall quirky theme of the place - lovely atmosphere - and there's plenty of things with which to amuse oneself if the weather's inclement - the jar of Nescafe Gold Blend in the room was a very nice touch - my stay was for four nights so I got to sample the bar and restaurant every evening - excellent......liked the menu variations....breaks the monotony - free WiFi is an excellent idea....many hotels charge 15-19 pounds per day for this service (and it often isn't very reliable)....see further comments below.
Nit-picks: The WiFi (although free) kept dropping out (frustrating for a business user and not sure if it is by design or by signal strength) and seemed to be buggy when trying to attempt to re-establish a connection.

This hotel (for which the word "quirky" could have been invented) is a great find. It's like a curiosity shop with jokes and things to amuse young and old. It's particularly good for children - the room I stayed in with my family was Mad-Hatter themed, and included a tea-party alcove just for the kids. Food at the restaurant was also very good and not overly expensive for such good quality. There's also a heated indoor swimming pool and games room, so our youngsters were never bored for a moment while we stayed.
