The "Fleur du Jardin" Hotel in Guernsey, contrary to its literal translation, is not “The Flower of the Garden” but a breed of internationally acclaimed Guernsey cows!! In the reception of the “Fleur” is a descriptive of how the “Fleur” got its name. The Fleur du Jardin xii was a breeding cow of some repute and we would like to think we have maintained that reputation, be it now of culinary hospitality and an envied quality of product. We are what you see, relaxed and informal with a hint of the unusual. Many of our rooms have undergone a stylish renovation programme which includes bleached timber walls and wet rooms.

Accommodation at Fleur du Jardin Hotel, Guernsey

The Hotel has total of 17 Rooms, all have En Suite facilities and many boast newly renovated wet rooms and sandstone bathrooms.

Each of the rooms are equipped with direct dial telephones, colour TV, hair dryer and tea and coffee making facilities.

Doubles and Twins are available but for the larger families please look at our suite descriptions.

Suites
We have two newly renovated suites which can accommodate up to four people, two in a separate bedroom and two in the "chill out" lounge area. Our loft suite has beams and granite walls galore with both a "wet room" and "soaking in the tub" room.

The furniture has been chosen carefully by the owners, with strong influences of "Shabby Chic", with a little contemporary thrown in to add a touch of luxury. There is also an adjoining double room with "Wet room" should you wish to take the whole loft for a larger gathering.

All the suites have satellite flat screen TV's, fantastic views and all the other mod cons you would expect. These suite are very much in demand and we would recommend early booking, particularly for long weekends.

Fleur du Jardin Hotel Restaurant

The restaurant is well known locally and has many awards attributed to it. Our Head Chef, Kelvin Clark, maintains a very high standard and concentrates on using as much local produce as possible. He uses locally bred beef & pork from the renowned "Meadow Court Farm" a lady that plays music to her quarry before doing the dastardly deed! and it is not unusual to see a local fiherman dragging a 10lb sea bass through to the kitchen for onward delivery to the table. We, on Guernsey, are lucky to be blessed with an abundance of local sea stock and the Fleur takes full advantage of all these natural resources.

Our Bar Manager Adam, takes great pride in embellishing the awards and inclusions in "CAMRA" by constantly changing our selection of real ales, this together with a carefully prepared Wine List makes for a suitably rewarding culinary experience.

Facilities at Fleur du Jardin Hotel

Large Solar Heated Swimming Pool, generous terracing and decking areas throughout.

Our health suite has just received planning approval (June 2007) and we will be starting work shortly on "The Lavender Rooms".

Car & Bike Hire are available at preferential rates from our trading partners.

Tours to the Other Islands can be arranged, for example £25 per person will secure pick up from the Hotel, return Ferry Crossing to Sark and return transport to the Hotel in the evening. Beaches are close by and the walks are sensational.

If you are into surfing, the close by Vazon & Richmond beaches, are the centre of our surfing fraternity. Even if you do not partake, in this highly energetic sport, pop along and witness their athletic and sometimes daredevil antics.

Sea fishing trips can be arranged, take a half or full day trip with one of our local fishermen, whatever you catch Chef will cook & serve your fisherman's delight.
