Location. Cliveden House is a luxury hotel located on the Cliveden estate in Taplow, England, overlooking the River Thames. The hotel is four miles from Eton College and 28 miles from the city of London. Burnham train station is two miles from the hotel. Hotel Features. This two storey hotel is surrounded by 376 acres of formal gardens and parkland. Built in a style similar to an Italian mansion, the hotel features a great hall with a fireplace, oak panelling and historic artwork. The hotel also offers tennis and squash courts and a gymnasium. Cliveden House serves a complimentary full English breakfast each morning. The Terrace Dining Room serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. Throughout the summer guests can enjoy lunch from a conservatory restaurant by the outdoor pool, and picnics can be arranged in the garden on the banks of the river. Waldos restaurant opens for dinner Tuesday through Saturday. Jacket and tie are required.
