Tropical Escape, Barbados
Tropical Escape is built in a Spanish style, painted white with terra cotta tiles and wide arches. Just across the road is the beautiful white sand beach of Paynes Bay, St James, the famed west coast of Barbados.
Tropical Escape is a wonderful location for couples looking for a very relaxing holiday and welcoming to singles and families too. The staff treat the guests as friends, which gives a very happy environment.
The hotel's 52 rooms are spacious and all have a balcony or patio. The interior decor is modern and stylish.
The elegant entrance opens into a spacious reception area. To the left is The Parrot Café and to the right, the air conditioned Carnival Bar and games room. Straight on through reception, up a few stairs and you come out by the pool, surrounded by a large sundeck with tropical plants and the pool bar. The bedrooms are on the upper two floors of the hotel - access by stairs only.
Two minutes over the road and you are on a lovely stretch of deep, sandy beach, with sun loungers for hotel guests and an array of water sports. There is safe swimming here. The hotel is located on the West Coast in St James parish, about 45 minutes from Grantley Adams Airport, 15 minutes from Bridgetown and 5 minutes from Holetown.

Overlooking the front of the hotel, some rooms on the highest floor have partial seaview, the others have road/tree view. The remaining rooms have a land view, overlooking the pool deck/garden at the rear of the hotel. One room category only.
All rooms are decorated in white with fresh, bright Caribbean colours, mirrored wardrobes and modern, stylish wrought iron furniture. 44 rooms have a queen-size bed and eight have a king size and single bed.

Blue Monkey Bar and Restaurant
All meals and drinks are available all day at the Blue Monkey. The Blue Monkey Bar and Restaurant is just across the road on the beautiful beach of Paynes Bay.
It successfully combines an informal beach bar with an excellent, yet affordable restaurant.

SWIMMING POOL
There is a generously sized swimming pool with a large sunbathing area with loungers and parasols, surrounded by tropical plants. A pool bar is open daily from 11am – 11pm.
WATER SPORTS
Water Sports are available from the beach. Motorised sports are also available from concessionaires at a cost. The Water Sports personnel will be able to arrange scuba diving and deep sea fishing trips at an extra cost.
GYMNASIUM
A small, unsupervised gym is available for adults (minimum age 16 yrs).
GOLF
The hotel receptionist will be pleased to arrange a tee time for you:
An 18 hole. 6805 yard, par 72 championship public golf course Barbados Golf Club, has been opened near Oistins on the south coast of the island. The hotel has preferential green fees at this course.
The Golf Academy, with a driving range and tuition is located close to Barbados Golf Club. Sandy Lane is a well known established course on the west coast. They have just rebuilt the course.
Club Rockley is a 9 hole executive course on the south coast.
HORSE RACING
Horse racing at the Garrison Savannah takes place from January - April, June to August and October - December on a Saturday afternoon.
