  Siamo stati a York io e mia moglie per fare visita a nostro figlio Cristiano e aver trovato un posto così piacevole a soli 50 metri dalla casa di nostro figlio è stata una soluzione ottima: York è una città bellissima,medievale e piena di fascino, ma il soggiorno non sarebbe stato così bello se non avessimo sostato al Feversham Lodge: accoglienza fantastica, i proprietari sono persone gentilissime e molto disponibili, la camera era deliziosa (quella stile francese) e la prima colazione eccezionale, con una scelta molto vasta e tutta di ottima qualità; inoltre tutta la casa è affascinante ed arredata con ottimo gusto.Ottima esperienza!!!

  Feversham Lodge is an excellent place to stay, the rooms are comfortable and are extremley clean. You are about a 10 minute walk to the centre of York. The breakfast id excellent, and David and Elaine are such lovely peolpe, we would go back time and time again.

  This was my second visit to this guest house along with my girlfriend Angela having visited last May 2012. We liked the place so much that we decided to to go back to celebrate our first anniversary of meeting. Our stay was the pay for two nights get the third free deal, very good value it is too. We stayed in the Victorian room which is beautifully decorated and very light inside due to the big bay window, the bed gave both of us some of the best nights sleep we have ever had. Tghe lodge is located on Wigginton Road which leads directly to the north of the city and it takes only about ten minutes to get there.Our hosts David and Elaine were friendly and approachable as ever, David's knowledge of York and its surroundings is most impressive. The breakfast served is excellent consisting of a buffet of fruit, cereals, musli, yoghurts and juices along with a cooked English breakfast, a fish and vegetarian cooked breakfast are also options. You choose your options on a card in your room and then slide it under the door before retiring for the night and your meal is prepared for you when you go down to breakfast. On our second day I proposed to Angela at the top of the York wheel, she accepted and we were "engaged". On our return to the guest house that evening we were greeted by Elaine and we asked if we could borrow some wine glasses so the we could celebrate, we asked David and Elaine to join us in our celebrations and they were good enough to invite us into their living room where we all had a couple of glasses of wine. A good couple of hours later we retired to our own room after spending a pleasant evening swapping stories about our respective lives and families. Leaving this lodge is so very hard to do as you feel you are leaving your family and home behind. I would whole heartedly recommend this lodge to anyone visiting York for a few days.

  We have stayed at Feversham Lodge a number of times now and the quality of service is always top rate. The rooms are warm, clean and decorated in a thoughtful manner and the B&B is located only a short walk away from the city walls which makes it a great base for a visit to York. The breakfasts are excellent and easily keep you satisfied long past lunchtime.   I was very impressed with the hospitality shown by David and Elaine who were marvellous hosts. Nothing was too much trouble and they individualised their provision at every turn to accommodate my needs. They had an excellent knowledge of their area and offered helpful tips about travelling and eating out in York, too. Very comfortable room with lots of lovely touches and a delicious breakfast to set me on my way in the morning. I'm heading back next month.

  We stayed 2 nights during December. Never before has a welcome been so warm and friendly. David and Elaine are fantastic hosts. It's the small touches that make this accomodation special. The largest hospitllity trays we've ever had, chocolates by the bed and breakfast that's second to non. Elaine's home made jam and pancakes were first class. No more big chain hotels for us when we return to York.

  This is the Third year running we have stayed with Elaine and David at Feversham Lodge and without doubt we will be back to stay with them every time we go to York. Not only because of their high standards and reasonable prices but also for David and Elaine knowledge, witty and interesting tales and once you have found somewhere as special and welcoming as Feversham lodge why would you go else where? Everything about Feversham lodge is top quality from the linen on the bed, the towels and compliments in the shower room to the freshly prepared breakfasts. The clean well presented accommodation and the facilities on offer is more than you would expect to receive in a five star rated guest house and at Faversham lodge you get them for a four star price. Both David and Elaine have from personal experience a vast knowledge of places to visit and eat in and around York and we have never had a bad experience from any of their recommendations so if in any doubt of where to eat or visit ask them. So if you are looking to visit York and want a great place to stay then contact Elaine and David at Feversham Lodge, you won't be disappointed.

  My mum and I had the pleasure of staying at Feversham the first week of October. David and Elaine are wonderful hosts, very welcolming and knowledgeable of the area. David gave us some "tips" of where to eat, two of which we tried and werent disappointed. Our room was absolutely lovely with plenty of room and everything we needed for our stay.   We enjoyed an excellent stay at the Feversham Lodge in York. From booking to checking out Elaine and David made the whole process very easy and enjoyable. When we arrived we were able to check in early - the room was not only ready but lovely and welcoming (like the rest of the accomodation!) David and Elaine offered lots of advice and recommendations as to where to go in York and were just really helpful. The room had everything we needed and more and was very comfortable. Breakfasts at the Feversham Lodge are something else! The huge variety of quality, tasty food is superb and the service was second to none. You will certainly not go hungry! We were thrilled to get a copy of their tasty homemade musli recipe too - it's the personal touches like these (and the chocolates!) that make the Feversham Lodge stand out. Elaine and David really do take a genuine interest in all of their guests, they go the extra mile and nothing is too much trouble. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in York - it's a great city and our trip was made extra special by our stay with Elaine and David. We would have no hesitation in recommending the Feversham Lodge and look forward to making return visits!

  Dave & Elaine welcomed us into their lovely home like family and we were very well taken care of. Information was plentiful thanks to Dave's excellent knowledge of the country. Room was well-kept and furnished, had everything we needed. Location was about an easy 10mins walk into the centre of York. Breakfast was plentiful and kept us going until tea time.   Feversham Lodge is perfectly situated, a 10 minute walk into York. The hosts, Elaine and David, made sure we all (two adults, two teen girls) were welcomed and had everything we could possibly want during the stay.   I booked a room at the Feversham Lodge for a long weekend in York after reading some very positive reviews and i must say we were not disappointed! On arriving David & Elaine were very welcoming and showed us around our room, they then recommended a very nice Italian restaurant for our evening meal which was superb. We had the Guinevere room which was perfect, a good size and very clean. We have only been back home for a day but are already missing the breakfasts! A choice of cereal, fresh fruit, yogurts, cooked breakfasts and even pancakes were all lovely and were a great start to our long days walking around the city centre. What makes this B & B so good is that you are treated not as a customer but as a friend, small things like being able to borrow an umbrella for the evening or having a choice of DVDs to watch all add up to make a more enjoyable stay. Overall this is an excellent guest house, David & Elaine make you feel right at home and nothing is too much trouble for them, i would definitely stay there again and highly recommend it!

  I have just returned from a three day trip to York with my husband, staying at Feversham Lodge. From the moment we arrived, David and Elaine made us feel really welcome, offering to carry our bags, and then making recommendations for dinner as we arrived in the evening, they had also left us a chocolate orange and a card as it was our anniversary! The room was really comfortable (we had the Guinevere room) and the breakfasts were great, with a large choice and all fresh food. Every morning, David asked how our previous day had been and offered more recommendations for things to do and places to visit, while Elaine was cooking the breakfasts. I also noticed that they made a point of remembering everyone's names, which was lovely to see. The b&b is about a 15 minute walk into York, so everywhere is easily accessible. I would definitely recommend staying here if you are visiting York, and am sure we will return for our second visit soon.

  Another excellent visit to Feversham Lodge. Excellent room and very comfy bed (we had the Victorian Room again!) with a lovely breakfast each morning. Again David and Elaine were the perfect hosts. There was also plenty of tea, coffee and milk in the room along with big fluffy towels and a nice selection of complimentary toiletries. The Feversham Lodge is an ideal place to stay if you just want to explore the city of York because the centre is within easy walking distance. Feversham Lodge is also ideally placed if you want to explore the surrounding area. On site parking is also a definite plus! We love staying here and would definitely recommend staying here.

  Owners David & Elaine were extremely helpful, knowledgeable and made us feel genuinely welcome straight away, which we continued to feel throughout our entire stay. They were always able to provide us with recommendations of places to go/ eat (which were actually really nice!) and nothing seemed too much trouble. Breakfast was lovely and there was a good range of food on offer, including the home made museli which was so good David & Elaine gave us the receipe. The b&b is about 20 mins walk away from the centre of York, so we didn't have to drive/ get public transport. Parking was available for free on site and we were even able to leave our car there on our last day, after checking out whilst we had a last look around York. Our room was really nice, with good quality refreshments and the whole place is very clean. We brought our own wine, which the hosts offered to chill and bring to the room. We would definitely recommend staying at Feversham Lodge and we look forward to staying there again in the future.

  We have stayed at the Feversham Lodge twice and both visits have been exceptional, the hotel is open and friendly and the rooms are spotless and each hotel room has a theme which is a nice touch something different, everything you need is there.   This was our second time staying at the Feversham Lodge and once again we had a brilliant stay the owners go out of their way to make you feel like one of the family the rooms are spot on and the breakfast is first class much better than most of the so called 4 / 5 star Hotels we have stayed in over the years.   David and Elaine are wonderful hosts! They have thought of every little detail, down to a great selection of hot drinks in your room, shoe polishing cloths, wonderful collection of DVDs and books...I could go on forever! I stayed in the Normandie room, which was very spacious and very comfortable. Each room has a theme, and it is obvious David and Elaine have put a lot of thought in the different themes. The breakfast room is delightful, and David makes sure you have everything you need! Elaine's homemade muesli and preserves are delicious! It was a short walk into town, so very handy to all the sights and shops.

  We had a lovely 3 night stay at the Feversham Guest House. The room was lovely, and the freshly cooked breakfast was delicious! Our hosts were very welcoming and knowledgeable about the area, offering ideas on where to go and where to eat etc. The guest house was a home from home with comfortable rooms and nice touches such as a dvd library where you are free to borrow what you would like to watch. The location was ideal, just a 10 minute walk into the centre of York. All in all Highly Recommended!

  We really enjoyed our stay at Feversham Lodge Guest House and would definitely recommend it to other couples planning a weekend break to York. York city centre, York Minster and other tourist attractions are only a short walk away. Our room (Guinevere Room) was quiet and had a comfortable four poster bed plus tea and coffee making facilities. It was great to be able to make a nice cup of Yorkshire tea anytime we wanted! Elaine and David made us very welcome and offered great advice on which of the many tourist attractions which should see - our favourites were the York Minster, Castle Museum and National Railway Museum and a walk along the city walls. Breakfasts were 5 star - so much choice - in fact one of the best cooked breakfasts we have ever had and it kept us going well past lunchtime! We ate evening meals at The Lime House Restaurant (as recommended by Feversham Lodge) and Little Italy Restaurant in York and both meals were superb.

  Having stayed at Feversham Lodge twice now, my partner and I would certainly go back.
  Elaine and David are very welcoming and friendly people, nothing is ever too much trouble.
  Feversham Lodge is also situated in a great place with free parking and only a ten minute walk into the centre.
  The rooms are excellent with everything you could wish for and a great DVD collection if you fancy a relaxing evening.
  Breakfast is wonderful with everything you can think off.
  I couldn't imagine anyone being disappointed with there stay at Feversham Lodge.

  Had a lovely time staying at Feversham Guest House. I was there for 2 nights with my boyfriend on a trip to York. The location is ideal, on the edge of York but only 10 minutes walk to the centre. David and Elaine are very welcoming and couldn't be more willing to help you. We stayed in the Victorian Room which was very spacious and beautifully decorated. The room was the best equipped I think I have ever stayed in with many thoughtful touches. The en suite was small but perfectly fine and also well equipped. The breakfasts were lovely with so much choice on offer as well and David was very friendly and made you feel very much at home. I would be very keen to stay here again and would recommend to anyone.
